Michael Potter

Photo of Michael PotterI was licensed as a Lay Minister in the Diocese of Bath and Wells in 1985 and served in two parishes there – a rural one and an urban one – before moving to Cricklade in 1989.

I regularly assist at the Sunday 8am BCP Communion Services at St Sampson’s and frequently assist and preach at the mid-week Communion service. On other occasions I also preach or lead services at Ashton Keynes and Latton as well as St Sampson’s. In Cricklade I am privileged to lead a weekly Bible study group and to make pastoral visits. I am particularly interested in ministry to older people.

With my wife Monica, who is a member of St Mary’s Church in Cricklade, I enjoy gardening and travel. I also read avidly, including the magazine ‘Theology’ and a wide range of books related to the Christian faith, as well as Victorian novels and detective stories.
