| 21:00 | Holy Cross - lighting of Jubilee beacon | Holy Cross invites you to come and start our AK Jubilee celebrations on Thurs 2nd from 9 pm as we light the Jubilee Beacon at 9.45pm. There's plenty of space in the church and churchyard for us to gather. Bring your own celebratory drinks and join us as we hear the proclamation and light up the beacon. There will be some drinks available for cash donation to cover the cost. |

Many local organisations will be represented, including St Sampson's Church. We are planning an ACT, PRAY, GIVEAWAY stall and are looking for helpers to run the stall from 12noon until around 4pm. Passers-by can ACT by signing up to one of the 70 acts of service, post their prayer requests which we will PRAY for and there will be mini gospels and bible verse cards to GIVEAWAY |

With new lighting enhancing the church, compline is a wonderfully reflective and quiet ‘night prayer’ the words of which are from the monastic tradition and have been spoken or sung over many centuries. “The Lord almighty grant us a quiet night and a perfect end”. Indeed, there are no better words with which to complete the 2022 AK village festival. Do come and join us. |
